The Lassen Community College District agreed to pay a former employee over $270,000 to settle claims of age and disability discrimination under the Fair Employment and Housing Act (FEHA) and retaliation for taking medical leave in violation of the California Family Rights Act (CFRA). This settlement is in addition to a judgment against the college under the California Public Records Act (CPRA), which found the college unlawfully delayed its response to the employee’s records request related to his termination and ordered it to pay his attorney’s fees and litigation costs.
